Freedom of Work, Tension of Security: Zero Trust-Based Security Strategies in the Era of Network Segmentation Relaxation

MONITORAPP

Hocheol Park, Principal Research Engineer

As network separation policies are increasingly relaxed, implementing access control based on a Zero Trust architecture becomes essential to maintaining both security and flexible work environments. Today, SaaS is a core component of business operations and is predominantly web-based, making RBI (Remote Browser Isolation) more critical than ever. At the same time, ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access) plays a vital role in enforcing granular access control not only to SaaS but also to internal systems. This session explores how Security Service Edge (SSE) technologies?including CASB, ZTNA, and RBI?enable a level of security and control that surpasses traditional network separation.
